Using Local Components in an Automation

Local components are stored in the Local tab of individual automations. To use a local component in an automation, perform the following steps.

1. In Solution Explorer, right-click the automation and select Open.

2. From Object Explorer, drag a component, such as a Boolean variable, onto the automation design pane.

3. Save the automation.

Note: Local components belong to individual automations and appear in the Object Explorer hierarchy directly below the automation to which they belong. They cannot be used from anywhere other than the automation in which they are created.
